Our People

NSC places an extremely high priority on the quality, depth and breadth of its in-house skills base. Employee skills are constantly enhanced through a carefully planned and structured professional development and recruitment program.

In 2008, we launched the NSC Academy, an on-the-job staff development program designed to prepare cadets for future technical roles within the company and ensure a steady flow of well-rounded, highly skilled graduates.

NSC has one of the largest and most qualified teams of Unified Communications specialists in the country. Between them, our staff hold more than 200 industry accreditations, providing a strong, multi-skilled team to meet the demands of the most dynamic commercial environment.

The company also enjoys considerably higher than industry average staff tenure with many team members celebrating 15 and 10 year anniversaries with the company.

Executive Management

Craig.jpgCraig Neil - Managing Director - NSC Group

Craig Neil is the founder and managing director of NSC Group. His primary role is to oversee all aspects of business management, direction and strategy for the organisation.

As a young entrepreneur Craig established NSC in 1989 as North Shore Connections, operating as a reseller of early PABX technologies. Since then, under his direction, the organisation has grown to become a leading, South Pacific multi-million dollar systems integrator.

Prior to founding NSC, Craig worked as a technician with Telecom Australia in PABX services. This role helped develop Craig's passion for the communications industry. Working with Telecom Australia (now Telstra) for seven years, Craig identified the deregulation of the industry in 1989 as a major opportunity to start NSC as a contracting telephony service provider. Today, the company specialises in the design, implementation, management and support of highly sophisticated, communications and business technology.

Craig's vision that one day voice and data would converge has become a reality and he is now ensuring NSC is leading the way in the design, implementation and management of Unified Communications and Network Systems as well as the provision and support of solutions for Contact Centres and Data Centres.

Brett.jpgBrett Parsons - Director, Strategy & Operations - NSC Group

Brett joined the NSC Group in 1998 and as a co-director has played an integral role in the development of the company. Brett worked for 17 years within the Information Systems Department of Fujitsu during which time he achieved enormous success and was assigned to a specialist role developing the Convergence and Contact Centre business within the company.

His excellent knowledge of the contact centre market and strong understanding of business drivers and requirements has proven to be invaluable in driving NSC's growth over the past 10 years. Under Brett's guidance, NSC expanded its geographic presence in the southern region of Australia as well as developed strong partnerships with best-in-class technology providers.

Brett is a driving force in transforming the business to a solution and services based company and has lead the evolution of NSC's Managed Services capability. He continues to work closely with the founding director Craig Neil on high level strategies to evolve and grow the business further.

Trevor.jpgTrevor Boal - General Manager - NSC Group

Trevor joined NSC in 2004 as NSW Sales Manager; in 2006, he moved into the National Sales Manager role and in 2008 was promoted to General Manager.

With NSC in a strong growth period, the role of General Manager is pivotal to the company's continued success and Trevor brings to this newly created position, extensive operational experience and strong leadership skills During his tenure at NSC he has driven significant revenue growth while continually improving the company's service delivery to its growing customer base.

 

 

 

Simon.jpgSimon Brownlow - Finance Director - NSC Group

Simon joined the NSC Group in 2002 as the head of the Finance and Administration team Prior to joining NSC, Simon served eight years with the ANZ Banking Group in a number of positions and several years with the Hotel Dynamics Group as Group Financial Controller.

After successfully assisting with the sale of Hotel Dynamics to a large US multi-national in March 2002, Simon joined NSC to assist NSC's management in meeting the Company's statutory requirements along with seeing through the recent corporate restructure of the NSC Group.

 

 

 

michelle.jpgMichelle Neil - Human Resources Director - NSC Group

Michelle joined NSC Group in 2000 as the Director of HR. Prior to this Michelle worked for Standard Chartered Finance, Grundy Television and McCann-Erickson Advertising where she spent ten years as the Human Resource Manager gaining extensive experience in all areas of management, training and general Human Resources practices. 

Since joining NSC Group, Michelle has implemented a range of policies and procedures and works very closely with the management team in all aspects of recruitment, training, remuneration, payroll and general human resource activities.

Corporate Social Responsibility

In today's highly completive marketplace, organisations are placing less emphasis on technology and more on finding the right partner to integrate selected technology into their business.

As the partner of choice for many of Australasia's leading organisations, NSC is proud to partner with the Humpty Dumpty Foundation as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program. The Humpty Dumpty Foundation supports children's services at over 60 children's hospitals and health services across Australia and two children's hospitals in East Timor. NSC staff members around the country have not only donated financially but have also given of their time to support Humpty Dumpty activities.
