| Danka reduces expenses by 30% | |

Australia’s largest independent distributor of office equipment, Danka, has selected NSC to upgrade its communications infrastructure. The $500,000 upgrade includes Avaya IP Telephony technology, 370 digital handsets, Avaya call centre software and larger WAN bandwidth. The deployment is predicted to save 30 percent on communications expenses while providing a solid and flexible platform for improved customer service. -more- |

| Defence gets a look at the future | |

NSC Carrier and Lucent Technologies joined forces late last year to host a Lucent Multi-Service Switching Roadshow. The Roadshow travelled from Canberra to Adelaide and showed the Australian Department of Defence and associated organisations how to optimise operational performance and to deliver new and innovative technical solutions based on the R&D from Bell Labs. The Roadshow detailed the Multi-Service Switching Solutions Portfolio, including the PacketStar (PSAX) product range, which enables the delivery of voice, video and data services rapidly over a single, cost-effective edge and access platform. -more- |
