With more than 35 health insurance funds currently in operation, the task of choosing a health insurance policy can be extremely confusing. Launched in 2000, iSelect is Australia's number-one health insurance comparison site designed to assist customers compare, select and save across a range of health funds. The company attracts users to its website and contact centre via extensive advertising campaigns using radio, television infomercials and press. Following such campaigns, the contact centre experiences a significant rise in activity, taking up to 400 calls a day with operators spending on average 20 minutes per call.

This is borne out from the IDC press releases: IDC expects the Value Added Managed Services Market (VAMS) or discrete outsourcing market in Asia/Pacific (Ex Japan) to grow steadily, with CAGR of 16% for the next few years to hit US$12.5bn by the year 2011.
