The Federal Government proposed increase in the "Temporary Investment Allowance" from 10% to 30% provides a window of opportunity for businesses to invest in new technology. The allowance gives businesses a “one off tax deduction” equal to 30% of the capital cost of eligible new equipment acquired or ordered before 30th June 2009 and installed and ready for use by 30th June 2010.
